This painting, auctioned as part of the 'Old The Hague Collection I', probably originated from the inheritance of Dowager Mr. L. van den Berch van Heemstede Esquire - Lady G. Schuurbeque Boeye (1857-1938). They had two sons, both bachelors who lived in The Hague.
